Surfer Ítalo Ferreira, 2019 World Surf League champion and gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, performed performance evaluations at the Red Bull Bragantino training center last Monday, the 28th.
The athlete underwent a series of physical tests conducted by the club's performance department in the men's professional team's gym. The activity is part of the surfer's preparation for the final stretch of the season.
Italo is currently in third place in the World Championship Tour rankings and has three more CT stops to compete in: Peniche, Portugal, from October 16 to 25; Cloud 9, in the Philippines, from October 31 to November 10; and Pipe Masters, in Hawaii, from December 8 to 20.
– It was a very special day here at the Red Bull Bragantino Performance Center. It was an invitation I received from my team and I said: "I'm in." To be able to do the evaluation, the tests, to see how my body is doing to perform in the coming months, where, in the final stretch of the world tour—Portugal, Philippines, and Hawaii—I need to prepare my body and also my mind – Ítalo told Bragantino's official website.
