Italo Ferreira (Baía Formosa - RN) started surfing at the age of nine and quickly excelled in the sport. Known for his innovative and progressive style, he has been on the World Tour since 2015.
In 2019, he became champion of the biggest surfing circuit in the world. Won the grand final of the last stage, in Pipeline, Hawaii, against two-time champion Gabriel Medina
He is also the first surfer to win, in the same season, the World Surf League (WSL) and International Surfing Association (ISA Games) titles in the men's category.
In 2021, Italo became the first gold medalist in the history of surfing at the Olympic Games, winning the competition held in the waves of Shidashita, in Chiba, Japan, with a brilliant campaign since his debut.
