Olympic and world champion Italo Ferreira sold 10 autographed surfboards to help flood victims in Rio Grande do Sul. Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, he reported that he managed to raise R$100,000 in an hour.

The boards were used by him in competitions around the world. Italo pointed out that the amount collected will be reverted to the people affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.

The Olympic champion also said that, together with friends, he is closing a truck to take supplies to the South.

"Let's go together so that we can help more people," he said.
